Mega rare Tunisia 9 lp's box set release of 1960's recordings of this iconic Tunisian national radio program. A historical 1960's document, very likely pressed in very limited promo only quantities, with music specifically by the radio and not released commercially. Introduction to multiple aspects of Tunisian music, with music and French language spoken word parts by radio host Al Snusi and an unidentified female fellow host. Presentation. Apart from the 3 first samples which were taken from consistent long tracks, most music parts are quite short, varying from a few dozens of seconds to 2 minutes. Expect 60-70% of spoken word. Includes Malouf music, Arabic melodic & rhythmic systems, Composition forms such as nawbah, Tunisian modes such as rasd, asbhan, rami mayah, dhil, raml, nwa, iraq, siqah, mazmum, rasd, id-dihl, mayah, hsin, asb'ayn, Tunisian secondary modes such as mhayir sikah, ardhaoui, hsin saba, mhayir iraq, instruments used in Tunisian music such as oud, kanoun, rebab, nay flute, percussions such as tar, naqqarat & derbouka. Box is VG very decent shape but apparently top part / cover is missing. Original generic white paper sleeves are VG- to VG+ w/ some dirt & redish stains, probably from box red colouration. Records are EX to NM in great shape
